She is challenged by new relationships and realizations about herself and her “perfect” life in California. Through unexpected events, Molly heals a relationship, honors her father, and discovers herself. With the help of her best friends, Rita (a manila envelope) and Eugene (a rusty stapler), and armed with a frozen baked potato, Peggy decides to take matters into her own hands. CRAYOLA IN LOVE is the culmination of a journey to discover the ways in which growing up bi-racial has affected personal relationships. This tapestry of experiences surrounding the way Kyle learned to love was birthed from a moment in which they realized that they knew “who” they were but had not yet fully discovered “why” they were. Combing through years of notebook musings to create the music and story of CRAYOLA IN LOVE is a labor of joy, pain and catharsis.

Ever wonder how your favorite audiobooks get made? Sometimes it happens in a closet! TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET is a wildly theatrical journey inside my bedroom closet turned recording studio. Singing a selection of Broadway favorites, pop tunes, as well as a few original songs, I pay homage to some of the most ridiculous – and spiciest – books I’ve ever been paid to read out loud. TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET is a show about the lengths we’re willing to go to achieve our dreams, and learning to embrace every step along that journey.
